PLUTO has carved out its position on the Wrocław foodie scene, moving from pop-up favourite to fully fledged smash burger destination with the opening of its first permanent site. Following a string of festival outings and a strong showing at Gastromiasto, the monoconcept brand finally has a space to call its own.

Designed by architects Znamy Się, the interior draws direct inspiration from the smash burger method, “that moment when a mound of beef hits a hot griddle and meets the metal press.” It’s an intense transformation powered by pressure, heat, and the Maillard reaction, and Znamy Się’s aesthetics for PLUTO sees this concept translated into a visual and spatial language: warm caramel hues recalling browning edges, metal highlights echoing the tools behind the craft, and subtle, flowing forms that gesture towards expanding contact on a sizzling surface.

An open grill sits at the restaurant’s centre, wrapped in a raw metal frame reminiscent of street-side food structures. A long bar extends through the space finished with a triple-layered counter, while leather-topped stools allow diners to linger long after they’ve finished their fare. Material choices continue the story with caramel-washed flooring, and a metallic bar front.

The outcome is a distilled take on American burger culture filtered through a local perspective. Clear in concept and assured in execution, PLUTO’s new home mirrors the brand’s philosophy of refinement without excess and flavour without compromise.
