SATURDAY IN DESIGN FESTIVAL INSTALLATION

Saturday in Design is an annual trade event for the design community. It involves Australia's premier designer furniture, finishes, fixtures and lighting showrooms opening their doors on a Saturday to allow architects, designers, students and design-savvy members of the public to enjoy the product they specify, in a showroom environment.

Members of Australia’s best architecture, design and creative firms partner up with participating showrooms, to create installations and innovations, using and inspired by showroom product.

Studio Equator teamed up with Zip Industries to present an installation inspired by their new Zip HydroTap, which delivers boiling, chilled or sparkling filtered water instantly, from a single electronically controlled tap.

Australian designed and made, Zip instant boiling water systems are used around the world in homes, offices, factories, restaurants, canteens, hospitals and schools.

Our concept was based on the flowing and reflective nature of water, and the relationship of water to the human body.

The installation was innovative and engaging, making viewing the showroom product a fun and engaging experience, and we were excited to be able to also create a unique piece of art.

Over 2000 designers and industry professionals visited the space to view the installation and use the Zip HydroTaps, making the event the perfect way for Zip to launch their new product to the public, generate many enquires and sales, and gain media coverage.
