Salotti Del Café is a café kiosk in Melbourne's Eastland shopping centre. When the owners signed a new lease for the space they wanted a fresh new look and decided to replace everything and build a brand new kiosk and look in the hopes of attracting a younger clientele.
studio equator's kiosk design used high quality stone with timber and mirror detailing to give a simple stylish look which would appeal to all ages.
The seating presented a challenge, as we not only wanted to attract a younger crowd, but to also retain the existing client base. Three different seating offerings were therefore used to provide a variety of choices.
To add interest, the large communal table was given a customised orange laminate with a graphic print, and custom-made orange lampshades were placed around the banquette seating to add to the overall atmosphere.
