Pedders Suspension Website
Pedders is a multi-national automotive franchise that has today been operating for over 60 years. The fact that they develop, manufacture, distribute and install their own product through their own retail chain makes them unique worldwide, and Studio Equator wanted our website design to reflect this comprehensiveness.
In 2007, Pedders requested that we develop the number one website for the automotive industry, and happily, we were ultimately able to achieve this with a design that is functional, educational and a strong tool for cross-promotion, and the Pedders website won the award for best website at the 2007 AAAA Media and Marketing awards.
In 2012, Pedders came to Studio Equator wanting us to further improve the website and to bring it up to date with current web tools. Building off the previous award winning website, we re-designed the front end and improved functionality and usability whilst maintaining the same database and content management system (CMS) that allows the site to be easily updateable by in-house staff.
The home page of the new website is designed to allow access to a large amount of information. Simple clean graphics work to showcase the enormous amount of content housed by the website, without becoming cluttered or overwhelmed.
Top and side banners on the website are self-maintainable and allow for calls to action and customisable promotional and marketing advertisements.
News feeds show in the lower section of the home page as well as on the News page. These are categorised and show a selection of teasers to draw people in and get them interacting with the content.
The news section includes editable categories, PDF upload abilities, videos and other rich media and is SEO friendly.
Pedders store finder was also redesigned to be more SEO friendly, and now also calculates the distance to each of the nearest stores.
The technical library and catalogue houses highly detailed content on the entire product range, and the relationships between each of the products. This has been refined and optimised to make searching for specific information easier.
The library has a dedicated search engine that allows for searching of content in pdf files as well as standard site content.
The Trade portal assists Pedders in increasing their client database via the use of competitions, allowing for growth of online communication and marketing, and for increased interaction with existing clients. Pedders has been launching regular high profile nation-wide competitions since 2009, with prizes like V8 Supercar holidays and the XXXX Gold Audi course car. The success of these campaigns has allowed us to continue developing smart online tools to continue the growth of their online marketing strategy.
A customised media portal plug in has also been added to the website with a clean graphical interface that facilitates the sharing of information and files both internally and to media contacts.
The new Pedders website matches the technologically advanced nature of the business, however is still user friendly and attractive to the whole population, not just automotive minded men.
