With almost 80 franchises currently operating across Australia, La Porchetta is a well-established and iconic restaurant chain. Our client is a franchisee who opened a restaurant with a difference at Watergardens, Taylors Lakes.
This enormous 470m2 tenancy was just a shell when studio equator was commissioned. The client wanted to focus on La Porchetta style of good quality at low cost, and to have this ethos reflected in the fitout.
To achieve this, studio equator used panels of large format graphic art inspired by Italian sculpture and renaissance art. Natural textured wallpaper was used on various 8m high walls, however to avoid monotony and keep the eye's interest eight different patterns were used in vertical stripes down the wall.
Large coral pendant lights by New Zealand designer David Trubridge were used throughout to make a bold statement in this extremely spacious tenancy and add to the warm contemporary ambiance atypical of the La Porchetta brand.
