The Just Leadership Breakfast Series was a Jesuit Social Services initiative in partnership with National Australia Bank (NAB) designed to connect and inspire young professionals to work towards building a more just society.
The series comprised of four breakfast meetings in Melbourne in 2009 with each boasting high profile guest speakers including Tim Costello, Frank Brennan, Michael Ullmer and Cheryl Kernot and sell-out attendance of over 100 guests per session.
Studio Equator designed a visual narrative for the series, in a corporate yet bold style reminiscent of revolutionary media - an aesthetic designed to appeal to young professionals. These designs were implemented into corporate literature, invitations, posters, point of sale, newsletters and e-flyers.
The triangle has historically been associated with power, safety, success, and is also a symbol of social unity. Studio Equator's concept included the use of a triangle in the "Jesuit orange" colour as a simple yet strong centre point to the identity and advertising material. We built on this by using relevant text quotes and strong graphical photographs. Real professionals were used as talent in our photo shoot to give the images sincerity.
Following the success of the initial program, Jesuit Social Services again teamed up with National Australia Bank (NAB) and have continued to host similar Just Leadership Breakfast Series in Melbourne and Perth in 2011 and 2012.
