Kantina Kartel and Express Kartel are located on Collins Street in Melbourne's CBD. They offer a sleek and contemporary cafe & restaurant design for customers to casually dine within the various spaces - a quick coffee from Express Kartel or a communal meal at Kantina Kartel.The eclectic traditional nature of the building's external architectural façade tempted studio equator to design a complete opposite environment. Experimentation led us to discover the unique qualities of modern glass art and the potential of creating beautiful images of liquid flavour.
Detail photographs of abstract glass pieces gave us the backdrop of the brand, which was finished by choosing complimentary light features.
The visually stunning artwork is mounted throughout the open spaces of the dining area, fulfilling the client's vision of an open communal experience where each piece can be viewed and admired by all.
