Alter It is Victoria's largest clothing alterations business, and has become an icon in the industry in the nine years they have been operating.

As a franchised business, Alter It kiosks are all consistent to the brand, with bold interactive and fun graphics and interiors, however when Melbourne Central management advised they wanted to move the Alter It kiosk to a new location within the shopping centre, a very different style of fit out was required.

As the kiosk would be relocating to a high traffic prime position, the design called for a high quality and eye-catching fit out in line with Melbourne Central's design ethos.

Studio Equator's design centres on a full glass shopfront, which showcases Alter It's trademark open theatre style.  Timber and plywood fixtures and finishes with red trimmings are used throughout, and red timber beams create a feature point overhead.

Rather than the high volume printed graphic panels typical of other Alter It stores Studio Equator laser-burned the graphics into timber panelling on one wall for a more refined effect.

Both the main signage light box and the internal laser cut signage were designed with individual lettering to give a high class look and feel.
