Drinks on Wednesday 2 November @ State Bar & Restaurant, in the CGU complex 9 Goldsbrough Lane, Melbourne.
It’s almost time again for the Melbourne Sustainability Drinks, one of Melbourne’s most highly regarded and successful monthly events.
Held on the first Wednesday of every month, the Melbourne Sustainability Drinks is an open invitation to all who are passionate about sustainability. The event provides an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas and hear different perspectives about the social and environmental challenges we face.
Studio Equator is committed to minimising our current and future impact on the environment. We constantly seek to provide design solutions that are as sustainable and eco-friendly as they are beautiful and innovative. For example, we are now producing a range of furniture from recycled and reconstructed materials. Using antique and pre-loved chairs, we reinvent, remake and remodel them to make unique one of a kind pieces. Now we can join our love for sustainability with our love for antique chairs, beautiful furniture and innovative design!
The guest speaker for November is Tanya Ha, an award-winning Australian environmentalist. Tanya has worked for Planet Ark, is a member of Keep Australia Beautiful, an ambassador for WA Living Smart, serves on the Board of State Government Authority Sustainability Victoria, and won the 2010 United Nations Association of Australia media Award for Environmental Reporting. She is currently a reporter for ABC TV’s science show Catalyst and an environmental presenter for Can We Help?
The Melbourne Sustainability Drinks is becoming increasingly popular, so please RSVP soon if you wish to attend. This is a non-sponsored event (i.e. you buy your own drinks).
