Australia’s most highly regarded rock photographer, Tony Mott, is exhibiting 60 of his favourite pics from the past 30 years at Raw Gallery, South Melbourne.
Prolific and in-demand, Motts photos have graced the covers of 450 CDs and more than 700 magazines.
From local Melbournian femmes - Chrissie Amphlett and Kylie Minogue to international megabands The Rolling Stones and U2, Mott has captured some brilliant musicians.
In fact, Studio Equator would have loved to use some of his photos for our recent fashion collaboration with Kwamee by Francis, where we restyled some iconic rock images and printed them onto some cool t-shirts.
Everyone loves a bit of rock ‘n’ roll iconography and idol worshipping, right?!
Motts' retrospective is called Rock’n’Roll photography is the new trainspotting and starts November 25.
