dramatic restaurant interior delivers a dose of futurist-chic...

Israeli city Kfar Saba may not have the history of Jerusalem, or the vibrancy of Tel Aviv – but it does now have a swanky, shiny noodle bar that wouldn’t look out of place in some of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities. Tel Aviv-based studio, Baranowitz Kronenberg Architecture, have applied a healthy dose of futurism to their atmospheric design for ZOZOBRA – dark, broody hues engulfing the space as programmed LED lighting morphs throughout the day and night.

A bold geometric structure, contorting around the exposed kitchen, battles for centre-stage with the originally commissioned video-art that blasts onto the restaurant’s walls. Placing technology at the heart of its design, Baranowitz Kronenberg may have removed the traditional Asian aesthetic of a noodle bar, but its bold vision certainly matches the drama of their kitchens.
