TRÈS HONORÉ, PARIS

mother and daughter designers create a luxe wonderland...

The star of the show is the staggering silkscreen-print mirror fresco, courtesy of German artist Kat Menschik, a seductive redhead, animals and flowers, early-1900s lighting reflecting in it with warm luminescence...

Perhaps if Lewis Carroll were Parisian, this is how his vision of Wonderland may have transpired. Replacing classic British eccentricity with a long-legged, cigarette-holder wielding glamourpuss, Carroll’s acid-warped world of madness could easily have become this sultry, secret garden styled restaurant. Just off swanky Place Vendôme, Très Honoré is the vision of interior designer Agnès Comar and founding partner of architectural agency Atelier du Pont, Anne-Cécile Comar, a mother daughter duo working alongside each other for the first time.

There’s Art Nouveau, mid-century Scandinavian, mushrooms, flora and wicker dens; but the star of the show is the staggering silkscreen-print mirror fresco, courtesy of German artist Kat Menschik, a seductive redhead, animals and flowers, early-1900s lighting reflecting in it with warm luminescence.

Lush and fanciful, the Comar girls have created a wonderfully luxe vision of a classically poetic fairytale land, it’s a shame you’ll have to leave at some point…
