Our recent exhibition was a great opportunity for us to showcase our talent in a fun and creative way, but the eight week process was also a lot of work!

As well as the main installation of giant collage-style wallpaper celebrity portraits, we also developed a multimedia program where visitors could design their own faces from a selection of features using patterns and colours from Eurowalls wallpaper ranges. Easyweb Kiosk provided interactive touch screen technology for this application.
X-board furniture, custom home wares and panelled towers were also wallpapered and used in the exhibition for decoration, information displays, functional furnishings and VIP gifts.

A benefit of the "Designer Faces" project was that it allowed us to work in all three disciplines - interior, graphic and multimedia. The physical construction of the portraits was a challenge: each piece had to be individually wallpapered, pressed with weights and left to dry for at least 12 hours before being trimmed.  The pieces then had to be assembled, glued and pressed with weights again.  It was like having a giant jigsaw puzzle spread throughout the studio!

People don't think of wallpaper as being beautiful or versatile, but it is!  It can be implemented into custom furniture and home wares, pop-up spaces, exhibition design, temporary space applications and more - with design anything is possible!
