One of our recent challenges was the creation of "Designer Faces" an installation for Saturday in Design's The Project.  As we teamed up with wallpaper importer and supplier Eurowalls, the installation was exhibited in the Eurowalls Richmond showroom, and was inspired by and created with their wallpaper.

Our concept was to create larger-than-life portraits of famous designers, by wallpapering and assembling modular forme-cut X-board by Final Dimensions. We wanted to play on society's popular obsession with celebrities, while keeping it fun and designer focused.  

Our hope for this project was to use wallpaper in a way never before seen - to engage the viewer, and to make viewing the showroom product an interactive experience.  We wanted to transform simple wall coverings into unique pieces of art.

The designers we chose for the portraits were Zaha Hadid (architect), Philippe Stark (product designer), Karim Rashid (artist and interior and product designer), Jaime Hayon, (artist and product designer), Marcel Wanders (interior and product designer), Iris Mascheck (graphic artist and wallpaper designer) Marc Newson (product and interior designer) and Lars Contzen (wallpaper designer).
